Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much. The difficulty is ...too high. The challenge is too great. ~ Maya Angelou

Letter to the Editor:

The Eanes ISD superintendent, in my opinion, has neglected to pay her fair share of school taxes.  The school board president's only response is to shoot the messenger.

I find it tragic that the leading Trustee in our district is evidently working for the superintendent instead of the public, and I believe this is the root of the many serious concerns KeepEanesInformed.com has addressed for years.  In a democracy, we expect elected representatives to watch over paid officials.  That is the whole point of having a school board.

Sincerely,

Dianna Pharr

Why didn't the Eanes ISD superintendent pay her fair share of school taxes?

Renovates home to flip for resale apparently without obtaining proper permit OR paying taxes on improved property including an over 2,200 square foot expansion and complete renovation of the home.  Wellman's school tax bill reflects an 3600 square foot old 70s house instead of an 5800 square foot house renovated "down to the studs."

    Wellman's appraisal - May 2008 - 3638 square feet, value $789.829

    New owner's appraisal - July 2008 - 5834 square feet, value $1,647,573
