Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much. The difficulty is ...too high. The challenge is too great. ~ Maya Angelou

Bernadette and Nola,

Why are you continuing to seek OAG opinions to withhold public information when I have repeatedly asked to work with the district to avoid the legal expenses and delays associated with these ruling requests? What is the solution? Let's work together to improve the district's transparency.

Dear Ms. Pharr,
Thanks for the clarification.
Would you allow me to redact personal cell telephone numbers of District employees whose phones are not paid for by the District?
Thank you for your consideration.

Yes, if the email addresses are confidential as defined in 552.137, please redact.

As you know, I have provided my standing permission to Eanes ISD to redact certain confidential information such as the email addresses as defined in 552.137 and social security numbers and other information as defined in Section 552.024.

My intent is not to obtain information that is confidential by law. If you need further permission to redact information that is confidential by law, please let me know.

Also, please exclude (from the responsive documents) information that is posted on the Eanes ISD website link September 14, 2009 board study session agenda packet. Here's a link to that agenda and information for clarification:

Dear Ms. Pharr,
The District has received your request for public information, and your request has been assigned TPIA Request No. 1970.

Would you agree to allow me to redact email addresses of members of the public that are provided for the purpose of communicating electronically with a governmental body? (See: Section 552.137 of the Texas Government Code)

If any of the information contains the home address, home telephone number, social security number, and/or family member information of a public employee or official, that information will be redacted as allowed by Section 552.024 of the Texas Government Code, assuming that the public employee or official has chosen to make their personal information confidential.
