Eanes ISD principal sends the first message of new school year: Poor and Common? Stay Inside And a prior year message: We take the roll as educators of young children very seriously.
8/11/08 Dear Forest Trail Students and Parents, Our staff is excited about the school year and we’ll all be in place planning for the new school year starting this next Wednesday, August 13th. On Thursday, August 14th, I’ve planned a field trip for all our staff to get a first hand look at the Forest Trail Community. We’ll be leaving Forest Trail at 10:00 A.M. on an EISD school bus with tour guide Carl Hooker, our campus technology coordinator, providing the narrative as we view neighborhoods of the “rich and famous”. If you live near or on our route, I encourage you and your children to make signs or just come out and wave as our group passes by. Our route will start on Beardsley Lane in Rob Roy on the Creek and pass by the entries to Rob Roy Rim, Sky Forest, and Camelot before turning down Knollwood. We’ll enter Lost Creek by way of Falcon Ledge, turn left on to Ben Crenshaw, right on Whitemarsh Valley, and right again on to Lost Creek Blvd. We’ll travel down Lost Creek Blvd. to Bend or River where we’ll turn around and drive the entire length of Lost Creek Blvd back toward Forest Trail, passing by the Lost Creek Park located at the intersection of Lost Creek and Quaker Ridge. When we reach Loop 360, we’ll turn right into Woods of Westlake on Scottish Woods, right again on Wild Briar Pass, left on Barclay, left on Camp Craft Rd, right on Surrey Hill, and right on Scottish Woods back look 360. After leaving Woods of Westlake, we’ll travel down loop 360 and turn right on to Heights Dr. left on Randolf Ridge, and exiting the neighborhood via Parkstone Heights Drive. We estimate the entire trip will take 30 to 40 minutes. We’d love to see any of you as we pass by! Sincerely, Charles McCasland Principal Forest Trail Elementary P.S. If you know anyone that is truly “rich and famous” or any Eanes history along this route, please let me know. We’d like to include any points of interest along our way.
