Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtues consistently. You can't be consistently kind or fair or humane or generous, not without courage, because if you don't have it, sooner or later you will stop and say, "The threat is too much. The difficulty is ...too high. The challenge is too great. ~ Maya Angelou

Keep Eanes Informed requested to inspect the contract for artificial turf installation.

Cost estimate from Eanes ISD:  $28.50 plus cost of copies (to be determined)

I decline the charges for this TPIA.  However, will Eanes ISD consider posting this contract online for our entire community to view?

I’ve noticed recently that other Texas school districts are happy to post public information that I request from their district and this is a win-win for partners in education.

For example, recently I requested public information from Wimberley ISD (a much smaller district) and that district responded by posting the requested information online for public inspection.

Thank you,

Dianna Pharr

I request to inspect the SRI (Southwest Educational Industries, Inc) contract and/or agreement (including but not limited to the warranty) for the artificial turf installed at the WHS stadium on or about 2002.

This turf was recently removed from the field.

Thank you,

Dianna Pharr

 Excerpt from Austin American-Statesman June 11, 2008 article:  http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/06/11/0611turf.html

<<< The school board heard from an independent football field inspector earlier this month who found that the field failed to meet safety requirements.
